Infrastructure as Code as a knowledge source

This article explains domain or technical background. Applying it in Orthevs requires a suitable Contract, an accountable capability and verifiable outcomes.

Core idea

Infrastructure as Code

Infrastructure as Code describes desired state and changes in machine-readable definitions. Planning, review, execution and drift detection become traceable engineering steps.

Role in Orthevs

Orthevs Ecosystem

IEL encapsulates IaC tools through Factories and contracts. Foundations define target model, parameters, order, policies and acceptance criteria without binding to a single tool.

Key aspects

Key aspects

  • Plan before mutation
  • Review and approval of versioned changes
  • Control state, locks and idempotency
  • Handle drift and import existing resources

Context and boundaries

Context and boundaries

IaC does not prevent flawed architecture or risky parameters.

State and credentials require their own protection and operating model.

IAC · Orthevs

Shape the target model together.

The content will be deepened step by step with concrete concepts, contracts, maturity levels and verifiable evidence.
