Engineering Contracts as a knowledge source

This article explains domain or technical background. Applying it in Orthevs requires a suitable Contract, an accountable capability and verifiable outcomes.

Core idea

Engineering Contracts

Discovery processes are intended to resolve open questions and separate confirmed requirements from suggestions. The resulting Contract revision defines goals, scope, constraints and success criteria in machine-readable form so design, planning and evidence refer to the same version.

Role in Orthevs

Orthevs Ecosystem

Foundations and capabilities are selected against the Contract. A plan may bind execution; direct operations require the same authorization, validation and audit controls.

Key aspects

Key aspects

  • Record requirements and assumptions separately
  • Track revisions and approvals
  • Bind Foundations, plans and evidence to revisions

Context and boundaries

Context and boundaries

A Contract is not an automatic implementation.

The Discovery Wizard and autonomous execution are target components, not generally available features.
