Orthevs Engineering Lab · BCEL

Blockchain Engineering Lab

Design decentralized systems. Engineer trust through technology.

BCELEngineering Lab

Mission

A dedicated domain control plane.

Blockchain Engineering Lab provides the domain context, workspaces and governed capabilities needed to turn specialist knowledge into reproducible engineering flows.

Target model

Independent in its discipline. Connected in the system.

The Lab is an autonomous part of the Orthevs engineering system. It combines its specialist capabilities through versioned contracts and reuses shared platform services for identity, policy, audit, events and artifacts.

The Lab remains autonomous in its domain and consumes identity, secrets, policies, audit, events and artifact storage through documented Orthevs Platform contracts.

Strategy

Lab goals

  • Develop domain capabilities independently and version them transparently.
  • Make proven artifacts and processes reusable across projects.
  • Connect Labs through standardized APIs, events and Capability Contracts.
  • Keep configurations, runs, evidence and provenance reproducible.
  • Evaluate results before approval and productive use.
  • Integrate shared security, governance and observability from the outset.

Architecture

Core building blocks and responsibilities

Core, API, Workbench, Factory Manager and execution environment form a clearly bounded Lab microservice. Capabilities are added as installable Factory plugins.

  1. A Lab Core coordinates capabilities, workflows and domain artifacts.
  2. A documented API forms the stable boundary for clients and other Labs.
  3. The Workbench provides reproducible environments for specialist engineering.
  4. The Factory Manager installs, versions and validates modular capabilities.
  5. Shared platform services supply identity, secrets, policy, audit and registries.

Interaction

Documented reference processes

01

Requirement → concept → versioned engineering artifact

02

Simulation → evaluation → documented approval

03

Deployment → observation → controlled evolution

Evolution

Roadmap target

The phases come from the current architecture concept. They describe the intended direction and are not binding delivery dates.

  1. Phase 0: Stabilize architecture and platform foundations.
  2. Phase 1: Establish the first reproducible domain workflow.
  3. Phase 2: Add evaluation, security and production readiness.
  4. Phase 3: Extend the Factory portfolio and cross-Lab integration.
  5. Phase 4: Scale governance, operations and organizational reuse.

BCEL Factory Portfolio

48 capabilities across 12 domains.

Factory profiles describe domain responsibility, planned outcomes and the contracts used to connect them to the Lab and platform.
